It is official. The Georgia State Archives closes to the public on Nov. 1, 2012 due to budget cuts. Looks like we will have to forebear until the economy improves. The good note is that the State of Georgia is holding to its budget. In the meanwhile, there are many genealogical records, such as digital images of wills, bible records, obituaries, marriages, traced families, etc. on www.georgiapioneers.com
