Revolutionary War: Declaration of Independence

On August 10, 1776, a copy of the Declaration of Independence (just received) was read in the long room of Tondee's Tavern. Afterward, Bulloch went outside and read the declaration in the public square before a great throng of excited and jubilant people.  He read the signatures at the end, three of their own citizens. Pictured signers: Button Gwinnett, Lyman Hall and George Walton.
